Service – Service is top priority for Summit Radiology. We realize we have two customers, the patients and the referring physicians. We strive to make the diagnostic imaging process easy for both!
Patients – We will accommodate your schedule – often we can schedule you the same or next day, and we offer evening and Saturday appointments. Our location is convenient – park in front and walk right in! We will contact your insurance provider and make sure authorizations are in place. We have a quick and easy registration process. Patient forms can be printed off this site, filled out at home and returned at your appointment.
Physicians – Reports will be returned within 24 hours or less. Our radiologists will call your office for a verbal read on all STAT patients and the written report will be faxed within 4 hours. We will obtain previous reports/images for comparison and your ordering physician can receive a CD or we can download images to their PAC system. Summit will call to schedule the patients and inform you if an authorization is needed prior to their appointment.
Insurance – Summit accepts most insurance carriers. Please check with your insurance provider to make sure you are in-network with our facility. If you are out-of-network, please call us for a quote. We may still be less expensive than other facilities. Our professional “reading” fee is included in our price, making it more affordable for you, whereas other facilities charge a technical portion, which is a facility’s fee for conducting the exam and a professional fee, which is a price to read the exam.
Global Billing – At Summit Radiology, you will never receive more than one bill. In other words, no surprises. An MRI or CT exam are broken into two components: 1. The “technical” portion which is the facility fee for conducting the exam 2. The “professional” fee which is the physician fee to read the exam. Many facilities bill these items separately which causes confusion and higher charges.
Cost – Due to our lower overhead, we can pass cost savings to the patient. Our fees are competitive, if not lower than other imaging facilities in the region. We offer affordable options for patients without health insurance. Those with health insurance can utilize Summit whether we’re in-network or not. Summit will accept all insurances and not charge for any out-of-network costs.
Non-clinical – The first thing you will notice upon entering the facility is the warm and inviting atmosphere. From dimmer switches to paint choices we took great care in selecting design features to sooth and comfort our patients.
Quality Equipment – All of our equipment were hand chosen as to fit the needs of the Rockford community. We have room to expand and bring in more modalities, which will happen as we find out what else is needed to best serve our patients and physicians.
Subspecialist Reads – On staff are numerous fellowship trained radiologists with subspecialty experience in MR and CT interpretations.
Convenient Location – Easy to find right off Riverside and Perryville Rd. Our facility is easily accessible for everyone. No more walking from the parking lot and through the entire building like you’ll find at the hospitals.
Fast scheduling – We will get you in either the same or next day during the hours that are convenient for you.
Web access for physicians – Your physician can easily view your scan and report online from his office or the hospital.
