Dr. Urban graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle, Illinois. He attended medical school at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, graduating in 1983. Dr. Urban then performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was Chief Resident 1986- 1987. He performed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology, Computed Tomography, and Ultrasound at Northwestern Memorial, where he gained valuable experience with a full range of vascular procedures including angioplasty, pulmonary angiography and venography, as well as non-vascular procedures such as percutaneous biliary and urologic drainage and abscess management. Dr. Urban also performs minimally invasive treatment for peripheral venous disease at the Freeport Memorial Hospital Vein Clinic. Dr. Urban is on staff at Freeport Memorial Hospital
and Rochelle Community Hospital.
Dr. McConnell grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 1998. He moved to the Chicago area and worked in the medical device industry as a Microbiologist while earning his Master of Science degree at Roosevelt University in 2006. He subsequently attended Medical School at the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2010. Dr. McConnell completed a preliminary medicine internship at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois followed by a Radiology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He then completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Most recently Dr. McConnell has completed training in platelet rich plasma injections and adult regenerative cell therapy.
Dr. Pierce received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1960 from the University of Idaho. He then completed medical school at the University of Chicago, graduating in 1964. Dr. Pierce completed his Internship at U.S.P.H.S. Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts from 1964-1965. He then performed his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Chicago from 1965-1967. He also completed Residency at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland from 1967-1969. Dr. Pierce was the President of the Medical Staff for St. Anthony's Hospital in Rockford, Illinois in 1984. He was then Chief of Staff of St. Anthony's from 1985-1988. Dr. Pierce has been a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1965, a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology in 1969, legislative Editor of the Northern IL Medical Journal from 1971-1973, a clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Rockford School of Medicine from 1971-present, and a Diplomat of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in 1975. Dr. Pierce has been published in various journals and co-wrote a book on the Anatomy of the Newborn Skull.
Dr. Bach was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois where he and his family still reside. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from Northern Illinois University. He then completed medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2006. Dr. Bach completed his internship at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan. He then completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Michigan State University/Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan from 2007-2011. Dr. Bach went on to complete a Body Imaging Fellowship from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan from 2011-2012 with a focus on cross sectional intervention, body MR, ultrasound, CT, cardiovascular imaging, PET CT, and breast imaging. Following completion of fellowship training, Dr. Bach returned to his home town and joined Camelot Radiology in 2012.
Rebecca's professional experience includes over 30 years in radiology administrative services. She has extensive experience in radiology management and a variety of financial activities including budgeting and statistical analysis. Rebecca oversees the facility's functions and departments.
Stephanie has spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry. She has experience in virtually all aspects of healthcare including, practice management, revenue cycle management and healthcare compliance. She has extensive experience in managed care contract analysis and negotiation. Stephanie understands the importance of continuous process improvement and is constantly seeking ways to provide meaningful guidance to the practice.
Jesse manages day-to-day support involving all areas of technology. He handles all installations of new hardware, software, servers, etc. He is responsible for day-to-day PACS operations including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, prefetching, and other related activities. He works closely with imaging to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM image data into the PACS as well as network transmission, RIS validation, and exception handling. Jesse is a liaison between Camelot Radiology and Summit Radiology since 2014. Jesse investigates, identifies, and solves problems within all applicable operational areas. He reviews feedback from end users, compiles and analyzes support data, and recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate. Jesse works closely with radiologists and outside facilities to identify future needs and to design efficient workflow processes.
Jenny is an integral part of the Summit team. She assists with oversight of daily activities of the front office staff and processes related to billing and collections. She ensures that all patient documents and records are maintained in accordance with legal guidelines. Jenny audits patient information for accuracy, quality and completeness.
Ona and Julie are the first line of contact with patients and physicians, scheduling and coordinating outpatient diagnostic testing and procedures, ensuring efficiency and optimal customer service. They interact with our physicians, physician offices and personnel, as well as hospital departments, using detailed knowledge of all testing sequences. Ona and Julie's main goal is to help our patients attain appointments in a timely manner, enabling them to easily move forward with managing their care.
As our Authorization Coordinator, Gloria verifies patient benefits with insurance providers. Insurance authorization includes obtaining, reviewing, and submitting the authorization prior to the appointment, allowing the patient a timely and streamlined appointment. She also assists at the front desk, greeting everyone with a smile. She assists patients and visitors by providing directions and information, checking that all records needed for the procedure are accurate and complete, and notifying the technologist of the patient's arrival. Effectively balances greeting visitors with her administrative duties.
Jenna is our marketing and sales assistant. She helps with bringing Summit's message of quick, high-quality MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and Mammography services to referring physicians and the public. She brings energy and enthusiasm to this role and is excited to share the importance of our IMAGE OF QUALITY SERVICE to the community.
Tracey is our primary MRI technologist. She has 20+ years of experience in hospital settings and free-standing centers. Patients are continually commenting on the premium care that is provided by Tracey. Her expertise includes all areas of MRI, MRA, plus general radiography and mammography. Tracey is a registered MRI technologist which is a requirement for ACR MRI accreditation.
Deb graduated from Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Radiography and the Medical Technology Management Institute. Along with performing mammograms and routine X-ray exams, she assists with scheduling patients and other office duties. Prior to joining Summit, she worked as a mobile X-ray/Lab Technologist. Deb prides herself on compassionate patient care.
Erika is a graduate of Blackhawk Technical College and is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She is trained and registered to perform Abdomen, Breast, OB/Gyn and Vascular ultrasounds. Erika is an active member of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
Paula is a registered CT and X-ray technologist. She started her career in 2002 at Rockford Memorial Hospital School of Radiography. She graduated in 2004 and was the first hire out of her class. She has 15 years of experience working in a hospital setting as an X-ray, CT and MRI technologist.
